Fee Based Research

Our fee-based Research Service is intended primarily for out-of-town researchers working on genealogy or local history, who are not able to come to the library to do their own research.

How much is the fee?

The fee is $30.00 (Canadian) per hour, minimum charge of one hour, payable in advance. It includes up to one hour of stafftime, a few copies,postages &handling, and GST.

Payment of the fee does not guarantee that we will be able to find the requested information in our sources. If you wish to makeuse of our fee-based research service, please send your payment by regular mail with a letter outlining your request.

If your research requires less than 15 minutes of staff time

We can provide the information forthe $8.00 Reference Fee, which includes up to 15 minutesof staff time, up to 4 photocopies, postage and handling, and GST payable in advance; Charges will apply for work done, even if we are not able to find the requested information.
